Fr. Gabriel Salmela OP

Priest M.Theol. Univ. of Helsinki (Philosophy of religion & theological ethics), STB Institut Catholique de Toulouse, Diplôme de la langue et la culture francaise/L'univ. de Lille I was born in Rauma in Western Finland. I received the sacrament of confirmation in St. Henry's Cathedral in 2006 and entered in the novitiate of the Order of Preachers in 2009. My fields of interest are St. Thomas Aquinas's philosophy & theology, global ethics and Human Rights' philosophical foundations. Ecumenics and inter-religious dialogue are close to my heart.

Laurent-Huyghues-Beaufond OP
I was born in Aix-en-Provence, in southern France, to a Catholic family. After completing an engineering degree and working in Japan and France, I joined the Dominican Order in 2008. My previous assignation was in the Strasbourg priory, where I ran the university's Catholic chaplaincy. I was ordained a priest in June 2015. I am interested in fundamental theology, theology of creation, and contemporary metaphysics.

I was baptized in the Catholic Church in Rome in 1962. I am a member of St. Henry's Parish. I worked in Italy for the safeguarding of the cultural and artistic heritage, administering restoration projects and carrying out art-historical research first in Venice and then in Sicily.
I am a Finnish citizen and have lived permanently in Finland since 2000.
