Lecture on the Isenheim Altarpiece on May 17

On Friday, May 17th, Reijo Oksanen will give a lecture on the spiritual message of the Isenheim Altarpiece at the Angelicum Hall of the Studium Catholicum.

The Isenheim Altarpiece was created between 1512 and 1516 by the artists Matthias Grünewald (the painted panels) and Niclausof Haguenau (the sculpted part) for the Antonite Order's monastic complex at Issenheim in present-day France. Come to the Studium to hear more about this treasure and the world-view of its creators.
