Open Lectures on Luther and Christian Ontology on September 9th and 10th

A group of relational ontology scholars from Italy, the Ricerche di Ontologia Relazionale (ROR) group, is visiting Helsinki in September to deepen their knowledge of Finnish Luther studies and the field of ontology here. The visit is a follow-up to the scholarly meeting Re-thinking Ontology with Luther held in Rome last May. Part of the visit to Helsinki is a two-day seminar of open lectures under the heading Luther and Christian Ontology from Antiquity to Modern Theology.

The guests from Italy include: prof. Giulio Maspero & prof. Ilaria Vigorelli (Pontificia Università della Santa Croce, Roma), prof. Lubomir Zak (Pontificia Università Lateranense Roma), prof. Robert Wozniak (Pontifical University of John Paul II, Krakova) & assistant prof. Maria Benedetta Curi (Istituto Universitario Sophia, Loppiano).

The Finnish lecturers participating are Antti Raunio, Tuija Mannström, Olli-Pekka Vainio, Tomi Karttunen & Ari Ojell.

Authority in the Church summed up

On Tuesday, November 24, the series on Catholic, Lutheran and Orthodox perspectives on Authority in the Church will be summed up in a final discussion at the Studium Catholicum from 2 p.m. until 4.p.m.

Taking part in the ecumenical conversation are Lutheran Bishop Matti Repo, Father Antoine Levy OP, Bishop Teemu Sippo SCJ and PhD student Heidi Zitting.
