Brush up your Hebrew at the Studium in June

The Studium Catholicum offers Beginner's Hebrew - a refresher course & The Creation of the Jewish Religion: Sources, Tradition, Innovation from June 14th through June 17th, 2018.

The four-day course is taught by Rabbi James Baaden of Sha’arei Tsedek, North London Reform Synagogue, UK.

The course fee is 40 euros. Deadline for registration and payment is June 10th. Please pay to Studium Catholicum Nordea FI40 2001 2001 0002 81 and register with Lucia Indren at lucia.indren@studium.fi or by text to 040 414 5861.

Five-day course on Judaism

Join us for a five-day intensive course on the Psalms in Judaism and Introduction to Judaism: Sources, Calendar, Liturgy, Ideas at the Studium in June.

The course is taught by Rabbi James Baaden of Sha’arei Tsedek, North London Reform Synagogue, UK, on June 15rd-19th. The course is held in the evenings on weekdays and in the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday. On Wednesday, June 15, the course begins at 6.30 p.m.

Brother Erik Ross OP is a US-born Dominican friar who lives in Poland but often travels to Israel. He is a two-time graduate of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and teaches theology at the Dominican House of Studies in Krakow, Poland. He is active in Jewish-Christian conversations in the US, Poland and Israel.

Political Thought of Abrahamic Religions

In September the Studium Catholicum's series of interesting lectures continues with a lecture by Professor Anthony Black from the University of Dundee in the UK. He will be speaking on Political Thought of the Abrahamic Religions, trying to answer the question of Why the political views of Muslims, Jews and Christians are so different?
