Welcoming Team Spring Progamme

The Welcoming Team welcomes new members to the Catholic Diocese of Helsinki. Now the Welcoming Team's spring programme has been released.

Note these dates:
March 28: One-day Bible Conference at St Mary’s (Mäntytie 2)
March 29: Presentation of Divine Mercy
April 9-11: Mystagogê – An introduction to the Holy Triduum
May 2: One-day Bible Conference at St Mary’s (Mäntytie 2)
June 7: Picnic at Kaivopuisto from 11 a.m.

Please note that Gabriel Salmela OP has been named Moderator of the Welcoming Team.

Antti Laato's AC lecture on YouTube

The Academicum Catholicum now has a YouTube channel on which the association's lectures will be posted after the fact. The first such publication is the "Bibel und Babel" talk given by Professor Antti Laato of Åbo Akademi. He gave his talk at the Studium on January, 18th.

The Academicum Catholicum's Spring Programme as well as the YouTube lecture are also available here.

Hebrew Bible Study

Do you have basic Hebrew-reading skills? Then come and join us in studying the Bible in Hebrew twice a month on Saturdays. We will begin on January 23 at 2 p.m. with the first chapter of Genesis. and ideally you will have read the chapter before we meet up. We will discuss the text in Finnish/English.

After January 23, we will meet on February 13 and 20. Welcome!
