Culture Night with Emil Anton on November 17

Emil Anton is a theologian, philosopher, translator, teacher, tour guide, magician and author. Come and meet him at the Studium's Culture Night on November 17 and learn about his latest book, which takes you time.-travelling through Finnish history and shows you that Finland is a much more Catholic country than you may have thought!

​The Studium’s Culture Nights are a  programme of friendly and informal gatherings with various activities, such as music, films, talks, pop-up café etc. Enjoy pot luck delicacies with the Studium's homemade organic apple juice! Everybody is very welcome!

Register for the Diocesan Forum

Now is the time to register for the Diocesan Forum on the Beauty of Catholic Marriage. The Forum will be held on Saturday, October 28, at St John's Parish Hall in Korkeavuorenkatu in Helsinki.

You can register by e-mailing Diana Kaley at diana.kaley@studium.fi or by SMS to 040-7235703 or simply by filling in the form on the registration page.

Read Aquinas with Brother Gabriel

New at the Studium this autumn is Akvinolaisen lukupiiri, a study circle for people interested in St Thomas Aquinas. Brother Gabriel Salmela OP leads the circle to study the Angelic Doctor through the Summa Theologiae. The group's language is Finnish, but you can do the reading beforehand in another language.

The circle convenes at the Studium one Monday evening a month, beginning on September 25. The meetings begin at 18.30 and last an hour and a half. October 23 and November 27 are the following dates.

The 2017 autumn programme at the Studium Catholicum is filled with interesting events: there is the Diocesan Forum on Catholic Marriage, Academicum Catholicum's lectures (in Finnish and Swedish), the Welcoming Team's  events, an Advent Retreat in English at the end of November and much more.
