Collections and Tools

The collections of the Studium Catholicum Library comprise more than 40,000 books, focusing on Catholic Theology. The library has works in, among other disciplines, Philosphy, Bible studies, Patristics, Medieval Theology and Scolastics, Modern Catholic Theology and Church History. The library subscribes to 60 scientific and ecclesiastical journals in several languages.

The basis of the Studium Catholicum library is a collection brought from France by Dominicans as well as the Academicum Catholicum collection.
The library consists of 40,000 books and 60 subscription magazines. Search for books in the electronic catalogue.

Library Catalogue
The library catalogue is searchable through the Mikromarc search function. The database includes Exegetics, Patristics, Liturgy, Vatican Publications, Philosophy, Theology and Spirituality. A more exact list of the library's classification system is available as a pdf file (in Finnish).
Collectio Catholica Fennica
The Collectio Catholica Fennica is a collection of Finnish Catholic literature. The collection consists of works written by Finnish Catholics or Catholics who work or have worked in Finland who have written on the topic of Catholicism. The works of the collection are not available for take-home loans.

Research Tools
The Studium library provides access to a number of valuable study tools. There is a card catalogue in use in the library as well as electronic material (pdf). WiFi internet connection is available.
