Borrowing Books from the Studium Library
The Studium has a significant library of theology and philosopy. Its collections comprise more than 40,000 books and journals in various European languages (including Finnish, English, Swedish, French and German).
Registered users of the library have lending rights. General users are charged a fee of fifteen euros (€15), with students paying ten euros (€10). |

Lending timeLending time for physical books is one month. The loan can be renewed both at the Studium, by email (kirjasto@studium.fi) or by telephone (040-779 6896). You can also renew the loan in the net library. Search for a book on the library search page. After that you can log in with your borrower's bar code or your email address and your PIN-code. The library is open on Wednesdays from 1 to 6 pm during the academic year. If you want to use the library services on other days, please send an email to kirjasto@studium.fi and make an appointment. A penalty of EUR 0.20 per day the library is open has to be paid for due books from the due date to the returning date. Loans are not due when the library is closed. Loans are again due after a break and reminders will be sent by e-mail. NB! Some of the books cannot be borrowed!
Library SearchOn the Library Search page you can search for a specific book, author or subject in the Studium's electronic catalogue. The search engine's language is English, but please note that the categories of the listings are available only in Finnish, as the original catalogue is in Finnish. Go to the Library Search page
