Library

The Studium's library was founded by French Dominicans in 1950. The initial collection included books brought from France and a donation from the Academicum Catholicum.

The library numbers at the present about 40 000 volumes. It currently subscribes to 60 journals. It is specialized in Catholic Theology and in Philosophy.

Almost halfr of the total amount of books is already registered in the electronic catalogue. These mostly pertain to sectors as exegetics, patristicfs, liturgy, official publications of the Holy See, theology and spirituality. The cataloguing process will go on for a couple of years. Other books have their titles listed by authors in the old catalogue located at the Studium.

Users of the library will be given a library card. An annual fee of 10 euros is asked from common users (5 euros for students).

The library is closed in June, July and August. Open again starting 01.09.

Tuesday and Thursday 10-16
Wednesday 10-18

Collection Database

For the time being, the catalog of the collection database includes Exegetics, Patristics, Liturgy, Vatican Publications, Theology and Spirituality.

There's also a card catalog in use in the library. Internet connection possible through wlan server.
